BOZEMAN, Mont. – An investigation is underway after an early morning shooting on Monday that sent one man to the hospital.
The shooting, which occurred at approximately 1:35 a.m., occurred at a hotel on Wheat Drive.
According to a press release, an adult male received a single (non-life threatening) gunshot wound to the foot. Law enforcement says the man went to Bozeman Health for treatment. Because of his condition, police were unable to get a good statement as to what happened. The incident does appear to be accidental and there is no public safety risk.
The man has been released from the hospital and follow-up interviews are scheduled this afternoon.
