Donald Glover is really committed to his role as Simba in “The Lion King.”

The actor-writer-musician sat down for a chat on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Tuesday — while the movie premiered across the street — and talked about everything from Beyoncé to pizza to Seth Rogen to “30 Rock” and more.

Their 12-minute conversation covered what it was like to work with Bey (they recorded ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’ separately), and Glover compared it to playing basketball with Michael Jordan.

“Yeah. I guess it’s less intimidating playing basketball with Michael Jordan if you’re at home, just throwing pieces of paper in the trash,” he quipped.

Glover told Kimmel that at first he didn’t tell his son he was in the movie, and although his kid doesn’t watch TV, he somehow knew that Beyoncé was in it.

“How did you know that?,” Glover said he asked his son, adding, “And also daddy’s in it.”

His description of a pizza date night with his wife also ends in a tale about Beyoncé.

Glover dished about his time working as an R.A. in a New York City dorm, while simultaneously getting hired to work as a writer on “30 Rock,” and said he spent all his money on candy.

Seemingly always working, Glover joked about why he really appeared on Kimmel’s show.

“I think my contract says I have to say yes,” he quipped. “This is a script for ‘Atlanta’ if anybody asks.”
