On April 4, 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated while standing on a balcony at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, TN. Dr. King was shot just after 6 PM. The Lorraine is now the National Civil Rights Museum. Here’s a look at the site today.
