Crews responded to a house fire early Thursday morning, north of Bozeman. The fire remains under investigation and officials are speaking to a person of interest.
According to officials, there was major damage to a house on Red Fox Lane southeast of the airport.
The house was reportedly unoccupied and there were no injuries in the fire.
Central Valley, Bozeman and Rae fire units responded to the fire.
Fire officials say the blaze was confined to the north side of the house and quickly put out because the Central Valley Springhill station was so close by and was able to respond quickly. Firefighters tell MTN they are investigating the cause of the fire and are speaking to a person of interest but no charges have been filed.
Central Valley and Gallatin County Sheriff’s units remain at the scene. The first report of the fire was made by neighbors about 4:30 Thursday morning.
