Another round of scam calls is hitting Gallatin County according to law enforcement.

The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office has received a number of citizen complaints about the calls.

The scam caller claims to be Deputy Edward White with the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office. The scam caller directs the person to call 406-530-9127. The number has a recorded message stating that you have reached the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office. Law enforcement officials say this is a scam.

These callers are reportedly intimidating, convincing, and persistent.

“Please do not respond to their requests,” said Sheriff Brian Gootkin in a press release. Gootkin would like to remind people the Sheriff’s Office will not call you and ask for money to resolve any of these issues.

He urges people to hang up on the caller or block the number through your phone carrier.
