BOZEMAN – This week the Trust for Public Lands broke ground on the future one-acre West Paw Dog Park.
The new fetch park will be part of Bozeman’s flagship park near Story Mill Community Park.
Recently West Paw gave a $50,000 donation to the Trust for Public Land, which is why the park will be named after the company.
Members of the Trust for Public Lands, West Paw, and Bozeman’s Parks Division picked up shovels and started construction.
Dogs who were at the event, even lent a helping paw as they took part in the action and dug up holes.
"I think once it opens, everyone is going be just amazed by this new resource. They are going walk it and they are going to feel, wow this feels like home, it feels like Bozeman,” said Trust for Public Lands Molly Pickall. “This reflects the things I want to see and enjoy in our public parks.”
