Bicyclist raising awareness for rare skin disease pedals across Montana

Posted

BOZEMAN – Robb Freed is bicycling not only across the country, but also back. He’s doing it as a fundraiser and bringing awareness for a rare genetic skin disease that he lost his son to 11 years ago.

His son, Drake E passed away at only 13 months old from Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). Robb always found cycling as his way to cope with this loss and now he is on a journey that started four months ago in Jacksonville Beach Florida and will conclude by sometime in October in his home state of New York.

Robb said, “this ride’s not about me, it’s not about Drake E, it’s about hope. Hope for the kids.”

Robb arrived in Bozeman from Butte yesterday and planned to cycle to Livingston on Wednesday. To follow his journey, you can visit his website.
