BOZEMAN, Mont. – Two downtown Bozeman businesses, Burger Bob’s and The Cannery Lounge, will be closed until next week after getting their liquor license suspended by the Montana Department of Revenue.

The department claims bartenders may have been drunk while they were on the clock and serving alcohol to customers later than they were allowed sometime in November 2017.

Both businesses are owned by the same person.

The department also claims the Cannery staff refused to give it access to surveillance cameras.

On social media and on a printed statement on the businesses’ doors, Burger Bob’s stated in part “since this incident, multiple employees have been terminated and we have adjusted our operating hours to close one hour earlier than the required time.”

Both places will be closed until Wednesday, March 27 and the owner must pay a $13,000 fine.

We reached out to the owner, who has not yet returned our calls.

The complete statement from Burger Bob’s can be found on their Facebook page.
