BOZEMAN, Mont. – A major face-lift is coming to Bozeman Beach, along with the rest of the East Gallatin Recreation Area near Bozeman.
The Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club announced this week that the rec area will also be getting a new name.
The soon-to-be-called Glen Lake Rotary Park will be getting a list of new features, including pavement on the entrance road and entire interior parking lot.
The rotary says Bozeman Noon will join the club in a joint venture to break ground on a second pavilion, new playground equipment, seating benches, and the restoration of a stream-flow out of the park’s lake.
The club says it has been a long time coming since they adopted the park back in 1992 and the updates will improve much-needed nature in a growing city.
“We have an end-to-end stormwater management system, we have ADA access, and the third thing it’s going to become a year-round park because it’s all being planned and built to be plowed for wintertime,” said Ted Campbell, co-chair of the Glen Lake Rotary park subcommittee.
The public is welcome at noon on Saturday, May 11 when the park will be officially re-named.
That also coincides with Rotary Clean-Up day and everyone will get to see the full future plans for the next three years.
