BOZEMAN — Dress in all white to shine a light on behavioral health in our area.

That’s the idea for this year’sBozeman Health Foundation gala coming up in April. Every January, Jason Smith from the Bozeman health Foundation joins Montana This Morning’s Chet Layman live to unveil the theme for the year’s gala.

This year it is “An Evening Under The Stars”.

Smith says folks are asked to dress all in white, to help shine a light on behavioral health needs, and to help remove some of the stigma associated with these.

Dr. Anne Thomas is the medical director Bozeman Health’s Behavioral Health Services joined Smith and Chet on today's show. She says mental health needs are increasing as the population in our area increases. She’s excited for the gala to focus on the behavioral health services, so they can be expanded to areas like Big Sky and Belgrade.

Smith says the gala is the foundation’s major fundraiser and he’s hoping this year’s theme and event will bring more money than ever before. “An Evening Under the Stars” is scheduled for April 25th at the MSU Strand Union ballrooms. Tickets are through Bozeman Health Foundation. Smith says early reservations are encouraged because the event does sell out every year.
