BOZEMAN — He’s not only behind the microphone, he’s also in the front office of MSU Women’s Basketball.
Jason Alvine, Voice of MSU Women’s basketball and director of basketball operations sat down to talk about the team with Montana This Morning’s Chet Layman. Alvine notes his unique perspective and recognizes how lucky he is to have it. As for the Cats, he says the tough pre-season schedule has been paying dividends during the conference swing.
The Bobcats are 10-6 overall but are 6-1 in the Big Sky. Alvine says the team knows it’s the primary target for every team in the Big Sky. He noted a record setting effort by Eastern Washington to try to topple MSU. He also noted the strength of play for the cats to get that win on the road. This week gets no easier for them. Thursday they host Weber State then on Saturday it the Bengals of Idaho State. Alvine says for Saturday’s game it’s Pack The House day. Reduced ticket prices will be offered. He says the home crowd has been a major factor this season and he hopes this week’s home games will bring everyone out to the fieldhouse.
