BOZEMAN, Mont. – Today is Student Voter Day across Montana on several college campuses.
With it being one week before the election, Forward Montana is making sure students understand what’s on the ballot, where their polling place is, and answering any questions students might have while stressing the importance of voting.
“Especially here in Montana, since we are a lower population state, the votes from young people really make a big difference. To vote in Montana, you just have to be living here 30 days before the election.”
Absentee ballots must be received by your local elections office by November 6; ballots received after that deadline will not be counted, even if postmarked November 6.
You can also check your voter status, if you’re registered to vote, and where your polling place is on the Montana Secretary of State website’s My Voter Page.
