BOZEMAN, Mont.- The Gallatin County Sheriff’s office is preparing for President Donald Trump’s visit to Bozeman on Saturday.
This will be the fourth time Trump has visited Montana during campaign season. The Gallatin County Sheriff’s office will work with other agencies around the state to ensure residents stay safe while at the rally.
Sheriff Brian Gootkin said there have not been any incidents when Trump visited the other three cities in Montana and he doesn’t expect there to be any in Bozeman either.
“There have not been any serious security issues at any of those venues and we expect it to be exactly the same way here,” said Gootkin. “But that means that we will be out there and we will make sure everyone is safe including if there are people who want to protest. They have every right in the world to go out there. We will have a designated area. As long as they do it safely and by the law, we will make sure that everyone is good.”
