BOZEMAN, Mont. – On Saturday President Donald Trump made his way to Bozeman to campaign for Republican candidate Matt Rosendale.
Local supporters of Trump praised the president for the words he shared to the several thousand attendees of the rally at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport.
“I thought the speech was excellent. I think he speaks to the heart of what is motivating all of us to show up,” said rally attendee Jennifer Howell. “I mean, there is a huge showing here and I don’t know exactly the numbers but I would say it was tens of thousands of people for this area. Most people I have ever seen in Montana, ever.”
Others who attended the speech had similar feelings.
“This is a Trump state; everybody likes Trump,” said attendee Brandon Zielinski. “There are a couple of naysayers but everybody all in all really likes him. I think he is a hilarious guy. You know, some of the things he says I feel like he just does his joke and it is pretty funny. But all in all, he is a good guy and has good intentions, and I feel like the majority of Montanans have his back.”
“Well, I work for the railroad so I am happy that he is trying to keep coal business going. Because we keep more coal, the more trains we can run. That is good for business,” said David Lloyd from Missoula.
“And my mom has been trying to make some more money by selling some shirts. I am wearing one right now,” said Ace Sherman from Missoula.
