BOZEMAN — The Gallatin City-County Health Department confirmed that two more Gallatin County residents have passed away from complications due to COVID-19.
Both were men in their 90s who died at their respective residences in long-term care facilities the week of Feb. 14.
“The Health Department sends our condolences to the family and friends of these men,” said Matt Kelley, Gallatin City-County Health Department Health Officer. “Even though the vaccine is being distributed in Gallatin County, it will take some time for it to be available to everyone. In order to safeguard our most vulnerable citizens, we ask that everyone continue social distancing, avoiding crowds, wearing face coverings, washing hands, and staying home when sick.”
According to a press release, the Gallatin City-County Health Department received the official death certificates that attributed their deaths to COVID-19 on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021.
These latest deaths make for a total of 54 COVID-related deaths in Gallatin County.
