BOZEMAN, Mont. – A Bozeman man accused of driving a Winnebago RV while intoxicated made his initial appearance in Gallatin County Justice Court on Friday.
Robert Martin Arthun, 50, was charged with DUI, 2nd offense.
According to charging documents, a Gallatin County Sheriff’s deputy saw the RV parked in the westbound lane of Frontage Road near a construction site, early Friday at approximately 2:15 a.m.
When the deputy pulled up behind the RV, Arthun reportedly put the vehicle in gear and proceeded west on Frontage Road. The deputy followed and noted that the driver crossed the center line several times and wasn’t maintaining his lane.
When Arthun was pulled over, the deputy noticed the man had red, glassy eyes and this breath smelled of an alcoholic beverage. After reportedly performing poorly on the sobriety test, Arthun provided a breath sample of .154 percent BAC.
Arthun must submit to random alcohol testing at least once a week until his next court appearance.
