BOZEMAN, Mont. – A former president of the Bozeman area chapter of the largest sport fishing organization in Montana could now face prison time.
According to court documents, Todd Stephan Mitchell was charged earlier this week after investigators say he wrote $45,000 in checks using organization funds.
Court documents go on to claim Mitchell wrote the checks to himself and a personal engineering business.
And that all of this happened over the course of four years.
Mitchell was charged with felony theft of property over $10,000 in value by embezzlement on Monday.
He had not been taken into custody as of Tuesday.
