BOZEMAN — A Belgrade man is facing charges after firing his pistol into the ground in an attempt to apprehend a man that his wife suspected of trespassing.
According to court documents, 54-year-old Ralph Dennis caught up to the man -- who is identified only as J.P -- at the intersection of Jackrabbit Lane and Frank Road in Belgrade.
Dennis has no criminal record. He's being charged with assault with a weapon and is due back in court on Jan. 22.
