BELGRADE — Playing in the dirt is a favorite pastime for kids, and this Saturday that takes on a grand scale for kids of all ages.
The 9th Annual Digger Days going on in the gravel pit off Dollar Drive near Belgrade. The annual fundraiser for Eagle Mount features a giant sand pile and dozens of heavy pieces of equipment, all at the ready for the eager operator of any age.
A $5 admission gets you in the event, with all proceeds going to various Eagle Mount programs. The gates open at 9 on Saturday morning, and as Eagle Mount’s Stephanie Uter suggests, don’t wear your good clothes.
The event is sponsored by Knife River, TMC, Inc and Sime Construction.
Ken Stoeber with TMC has been helping with Digger Days for years. He says the event takes lots of planning but is more than worth it when we see the looks on the faces of the kids sitting in the cab of the big rigs.
Tickets are available on-line at eaglemount.org or Saturday morning at the event.
