Final two matches at home for MSU Volleyball

BOZEMAN — MSU Volleyball got a couple nice wins over the past weekend on the road, and actually doing something they haven’t done in a very long time. Head Coach Daniel Jones was live with Montana This Morning’s Chet Layman and talked about wins over Eastern Washington and Idaho.
Coach Jones says the win in Idaho the first for the Cats since 1989 and the season sweep over them is the first for MSU since 1976. Jones also noted a couple players being recognized for their efforts last weekend.

Final two matches at home for MSU Volleyball

Montana State's Evi Wilson has been tabbed the Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Wilson had an outstanding weekend for the Bobcats as Montana State posted its first Big Sky road sweep since 2011 and its first win at Idaho since 1989.

In all, Wilson averaged an impressive 4.86 kills per set with an equally impressive .394 attack mark.
Libero Alyssa Rizzo become the first Bobcat and only the third Big Sky conference player to join the 2000 digs club. Jones notes she is 6th in the nation in digs.
The Bobcats are 12-11 overall and 8-6 in conference. There are only 4 matches left in regular season.
Southern Utah at 7pm on Thursday and the final home match on Saturday at 7pm taking on Northern Arizona. The cats wrap up the regular season on the road taking on Idaho State next Thursday and Weber State on Saturday the 23rd.
