The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office reports that as of 5 p.m. Saturday, the Horseshoe Fire in Clarkston is 100% contained.

A small group of resources is continuing to address an area of residual heat in the fire’s interior, according to the Sheriff’s Office, while demobilization of other resources began Saturday and will continue on Sunday.

All resources are expected to be demobilized by Sunday afternoon.

The Sheriff’s Office also reported that an animal control officer assisted residents affected by the fire search for their two missing dogs on Saturday but was unfortunately unable to locate the pets.

The Red Cross says anyone impacted by the Horseshoe Fire who needs help with physical or emotional needs can call 1-800-ARC-MONT, or 1-800-272-6668.
