A large wildland fire has been reported on the Frontage Road near Manhattan, between Manhattan and Belgrade.

An MHP trooper tells our reporter at the scene a train started the fire, which is now 3 miles in length. One structure is threatened, according to MHP, and the fire is jumping across the road.

Fire officials are planning to close a portion of Frontage Road as they work to contain the fire.

Bozeman Fire advises drivers in the area to use alternate routes.

This is a developing story. We will update you as we get more information.
