Arlee fire close to containment

ARLEE – Fire crews are making significant progress containing a lightning-caused fire northwest of Arlee.

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Division of Fire report that the Arlee Northwest fire is about 24 acres and was about 80 percent contained as of noon Wednesday.

The blaze is located about 2½ miles northwest of Arlee, on the Flathead Indian Reservation off of Saddle Back Mountain Road

The blaze is burning in grass and timber. No structures are threatened by this fire.
