BOZEMAN — Emergency responders had a busy afternoon fighting fires on Wednesday.

Around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday multiple agencies responded to a wildland fire with structures threatened off of Toohey Road and Walker Road north of Bozeman.

The fire was started by farm equipment and was reportedly mostly contained around 7:30 p.m. as firefighters continued to work on hot spots.

Shortly after 5 p.m., another call came for a structure fire in Gallatin Gateway just off of Zachariah Lane.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Witnesses told MTN News that a trailer caught fire and spread quickly to the dry grass.

A friend of the family who was on the scene said the trailer was her friend's home, and the family was not inside when the fire started.

Some emergency responders were diverted from the Toohey/Walker Road fire to assist the Gallatin Gateway and Hyalite Fire crews.

The fire was contained, and there have been no reported injuries as a result of either fire.
