The cause of the fire remains investigation, but it's believed to have been started by rock quarry equipment.
There are no evacuations and there are no structures threatened, according to C.T. Camel with the CSKT Division of Fire.
Clear Creek Road off of Highway 382 remains closed to traffic.
Fire managers report that active fire behavior was observed Tuesday on the interior of the fire and a helicopter dropped water on the flames.
