BOZEMAN — Although it's still under construction, Montana State University’s new dorm hall officially has its new name.
As of this week, the $50 million project has been dubbed "Hyalite Hall."
MSU officials say the dorm hall will fit more than 500 students in its rooms and is still on course for a completion date next fall.
“MSU is Montana’s land grant university," says Michael Becker, director of MSU's Campus News Service. "We’re deeply connected to our community, to our state, to our friends and the community, our students, our faculty, and so to be able to name this after a Montana feature like this, it’s an honor.”
The last hall to get a new name was Yellowstone Hall back in 2016.
