BOZEMAN, Mont. – On Monday, Bozeman commissioners approved an increase to water and wastewater rates for city customers.
The average customer in town will see an increase of $1.38 for water, and $1.48 for wastewater, totaling around a bill increase of about $3 a month.
City Finance Director Kristin Donald says this increase was recommended by Consultant AE2S.
“We understand that they are strict budgets but we also have to make sure that we pay employees and that we keep on our labor contracts and we have operating expenses to provide that water and capital needs to offer that water and sewer services as well,” said Donald.
The increase will be applied to customers’ September bill.
