Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport continues to shatter monthly passenger records.

Around 80,000 passengers flew through BZN in August, which broke the previous record set last year by 10.3 percent.

Airport officials are expecting to set the annual record of passengers arriving and departing from BZN with a projected 1.3 million people traveling through the terminal in 2018. BZN will continue to offer more service than previous years through the holiday and winter seasons.

We have 25 percent more seats than from December to March. That’s due to Frontier being back in the market this winter. They pulled out of the market last winter and just ran summer seasonal service, so they’ll be running four frequencies a week through Denver. Plus additional capacities through the East Coast, Newark with United, and upgrading of equipment with Delta and some of their larger markets,” Deputy Airport Director Scott Humphrey said.

BZN has broken three straight monthly records dating back to June.
