A Seat At The Table: Area residents weigh in about community

BOZEMAN, Mont. – A chance to share what you love the most about your community? That’s one of the goals of a special event planned for this month.

The Bozeman Area Community Foundation and Future West are hosting a Seat at the Table.

The foundation’s goal is to bring Gallatin County residents together to share what they love most about their community, what the greatest challenges are for living in that community, and ideas of how to make communities a better place. The foundation plans to report this feedback to leaders across the county.

Residents voiced their concerns about growth and affordable housing and even offered ideas on how to bring cities closer together.

“We heard that it would be really helpful if law enforcement could be more present on the streets walking around so that we could have more conversations with them. Little details like that and great ideas to improve their neighborhoods. Maybe it’s creating a neighborhood barbecue or Christmas Stroll,” Bozeman Area Community Foundation Executive Director, Bridget Wilkinson said.

The conversations will continue through October 31,  if you would like to participate, click here for details.
