PONY, Mont. – The daughter of a Pony woman whose house burned down the morning of Christmas Eve is reaching out to the community for help.
Firefighters suspect it was around 3 a.m. on December 24 when Karma Jordan’s home was engulfed with flames. Kari Albro, Jordan’s daughter, said everything in her mother’s house was destroyed, along with the yard equipment.
Albro got a call from a neighbor who saw flames the next day, and when she arrived at the house at noon, it was still on fire. Albro’s mother was out of town during the fire, but her daughter believes if Jordan would have been there her mother would have died.
“The place that, the room where she would have been sleeping in with her dogs, she would not have been able to get out,” said Albro. “Even when they did the investigation that is what they said, was that in that particular area it was just fast and furious.”
Albro said the insurance is covering most of the cost, but she is asking the community to donate any money or household items they can to get Jordan back on her feet.
