BOZEMAN, Mont. – Bozeman’s second high school isn’t complete just yet and the School District is already thinking of its next building.

Elementary schools in the district will reach capacity in the near future, and with the enrollment projections the district has, officials are beginning to think about the next elementary school.

Right now, the district is only thinking of preliminary plans.

“You know, in the next three years we’re going to have to construct Elementary Nine. There was money set aside in the building reserve allocation to start looking at what that might look like,” said Bozeman School District Deputy Superintendent Steve Johnson.

The last four elementary buildings the district has built have had the same floor plan and design, and the board has decided to take its time when planning for this new elementary school to make sure it’s up to current standards.
