BOZEMAN, Mont.- Heebs Grocery Store opened at 9 a.m. Thursday at a new location four blocks from where it previously stood.

The new building is double the previous location’s size at 20,000 square feet. The store has been closed for the past five days as the owners made the transition into the store’s new location off of Highland Blvd and Main Street.

As customers walked through the sliding doors, owner Mitch Bradley stood grinning from cheek to cheek eagerly waiting to shake shoppers hands. Bradley said throughout the day he heard remarks of praise and gratitude for staying true to Heebs while still expanding for the growth

“I felt like it was something that the customers would really enjoy,” said Bradley. “We can think all we want that we have the greatest idea but to see that reflected on the customer’s faces and their comments. That is the ultimate. That is the best pat on the back you could ever get.”

Bradley said people seem to really be loving the new look of the deli. He also stated customers might notice some changes, like the fact that the store will no longer be selling tobacco products in hopes of becoming a fresher, healthier store.

The store will be open every day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
