BOZEMAN, Mont.- Valentines Day is the day people show their loved ones some extra love, maybe with chocolates or a flower arrangement.

Roses are your classic Valentines gift, but one Bozeman florist is putting a twist on the holiday.

Owner of Labellum, Remy Brault said Valentines day her version of the Super Bowl.

There’s excitement leading up to it and it’s a big day for her and her husband Fred Brault.

While you can always go with your classic bouquet of flowers, at Labellum they offer something different.

“First off, I love having plants have a second life, so dried and pressed flowers are always an awesome gift to give somebody,” Remy said. “Throughout the year I’ll always press some of my favorite blooms.”

Remy said many people still purchase fresh cut flowers but many are also exploring other gift options in the shop to give someone they love.

“Air plants are for sure an awesome gift, they’re easy to take care of and they’re super fun but you put them in a cute little container, sold,” she said. “All of our air plants are actually sourced here locally by a woman who lives in Manhattan and she has half of her house turned into a jungle and she grows them,” Remy said.

Giving a plant is a more sustainable option and not all of them necessarily require someone with a green thumb to care for them.
