BOZEMAN, Mont.- The draft of the Downtown Bozeman Improvement Plan was released on Wednesday by the city.

Leaders from the community, as well as outside consultants, came together to put together a vision and framework for the downtowns next decade.

Bozeman has grown tremendously since the last improvement plan was put together in 2009. This long-term plan focuses on downtown’s significance within the growing community.

“You might see that Bozeman Creek becomes more integrated into our downtown streetscape,” Associate Planner with the City of Bozeman, Addi Jadin said. “It’s right now under parking lots and that’s something that a lot of people have identified as a way to bring more charm and character to the downtown. Other things that we identified by the consultants are there are some needs like more office spaces and so they’ve gone into fine detail about some code changes that could make that a little easier.”

The city will fully adopt the new plan in April.
