On Friday, after Thursday’s collapse of the South gym roof, MSU said the second gym roof was likely to fail, though officials couldn’t predict when it would happen.
The university made efforts to ensure the public’s safety as it anticipated the roof cave-in. Grant Street, which sits just to the north of the building, was closed down and the building’s utilities were isolated.
No one was injured in the incident.
