Crews broke ground on Thursday on the concourse expansion project at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport. Four new gates will be added to the Northwest side of the terminal to help with the growth that the airport is expected to see over the next decade.

This project will be paid for through the internal airport capital Improvement Program, taxes imposed on ticket fees.

Airport Director Brian Sprenger says the number of passengers that have traveled Bozeman and the growth of the terminal has almost been exponential.

“Ironically this addition will be about 75,000 square feet as well so we’ll be matching what we were operating 10 years ago just in this addition,” Sprenger said.

The project is expected to be completed during the summer of 2020.
