BOZEMAN, Mont. – Bozeman’s next affordable housing manager is Loren Olsen.
Olsen is a native of Bozeman and has been a mortgage broker for the past 20 years. He has worked with both the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce and the Southwest Montana Building Industry Association.
Olsen started last Friday and will jump right in to working on the city’s Affordable Housing Action Plan.
Community Development Director Marty Matsen said the action plan would not have been able to move forward without the new hire.
“So this is great timing,” said Matsen. “We are ready to roll on the action plan, really get out there and getting the community involved in what they see as the needs for affordable housing and what we want to try to work on.”
The action plan is expected to be done by the end of Fall 2019.
