Jerry Cashman sits down with Chet to discuss tree health, how to care for your trees and plants and what’s happening in our community for this year’s Arbor Day.
Arbor Day, celebrated on the last Friday of April, started in 1872 with an idea of J. Sterling Morton and his wife, Caroline Joy French.
On Friday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the city of Bozeman and students from Longfellow school will plant 25 trees in Langhor Park.
The Community Co-op will celebrate their 40th anniversary by planting 40 pollinator-friendly trees at two locations in Bozeman, at Langhor Park and the Bozeman Sports Complex on Baxter Lane. The Co-op will hold their event on May 11, 2019 at 10 a.m. They are looking for volunteers.
Montana State University also celebrated Arbor Day while recognizing their designation of a Tree Campus USA with a tree planting event on Thursday, April 25.
