BOZEMAN – There were some tense moments at Bozeman High School’s parking lot Monday as police officers were seen with their guns drawn.

A statement from the school said it happened about 1:20 p.m. in the Senior Lot along West Main St. when Bozeman Police officers tried to stop a stolen vehicle.

The school district said it all happened very quickly, but no one was hurt and the suspect was arrested without incident.

There were a few students in the parking lot at the time it all went down.

The district said because the incident happened so fast, and because there was not an immediate security threat, the high school was not locked down and no secure in place was ordered.

Classes remained in session.
