The Montana Highway Patrol confirms a serious crash has caused one fatality on I-90 westbound at mile marker 283 Saturday afternoon.
MHP is still at the scene and has not released further details at this time.
Witnesses have told MTN News that both lanes of I-90 were shut down at one point, although the eastbound lane is now open.
Traffic in the westbound lane is backed up and being diverted off the interstate at Exit 288, witnesses say.
