BOZEMAN — The old saying goes, 'you win as a team, you lose as a team'. Right now, the MSU Women’s basketball team is all about winning.

The win over the Griz last Saturday leaves the Bobcats with no less than a share of the conference title, but they want more.

MSU Women's basketball enjoying the team effort

Assistant Coach Julian Assibey told Montana This Morning’s Chet Layman that a win on Thursday could give them the conference title outright. The Cats have score 292 point over the past three games, and Coach Assibey credits senior leadership and team ball mentality for this year’s success. He says the seniors are focused and lead by example. He also says while the entire team is putting in the work for greater success, he notes the players are still having fun. The Cats are home this week, Thursday at 7 against Sacramento State.
That game is Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women’s recognition night, so fans are asked to wear red to the arena. Saturday’s contest is against the Lumberjacks of Northern Arizona. That game tips off at 2pm and is Senior night. Tickets for both games are just $5, so Coach Assibey encourages everyone to come see the final home games for the MSU Women’s basketball team.
