BOZEMAN — Bozeman has great energy and the symphony is a wonderful group of musicians. That’s what Dr. Thomas Heuser told Montana This Morning’s Chet Layman during a live interview.

Heuser is the fifth candidate for the Bozeman Symphony Conductor position. Right now he’s in Durango, Colorado but has traveled the world with his music. Heuser spent time in Idaho so he says he’s familiar with weather and what life is like here in the west.

Heuser has a degree from Vassar, his master’s is from Indiana University and his doctorate from the University of Cincinnati. He has conducted in Munich, Berlin and San Francisco. Heuser will be conducting the Bozeman Symphony this weekend for two performances. Saturday 7:30pm and Sunday 2:30pm. Anyone interested can meet with Dr. Heuser prior to each performance for informal question and answer. Those interested must be in the Willson Auditorium by 6:30 Saturday evening and 1:30 Sunday afternoon. The pre-Concert talks are free with the purchase of a performance ticket.
