BOZEMAN — December 1 is World's AIDS Day and AIDS Outreach Executive Director Bob Cruz joined Holly on today's Montana This Morning to explain the work the local non-profit does and how the people are supported by the organization's volunteers and board members.

Cruz explains the history of World AIDS Day and how you can help the organization meeting its funding needs. AIDS Outreach offers HIV testing, support, and more to Gallatin, Madison, and Park Counties.

As Covid-19 continues to spread among the community, AIDS Outreach MT has been closely monitoring case numbers and their implications on the annual fundraiser, The Red Ribbon Ball. Upon review of the current situation in Montana, and with the winter fast approaching, the Board has decided to cancel the in-person component of this year’s Red Ribbon Ball.

"On this Giving Tuesday which coincides with World AIDS Day, AIDS Outreach MT is asking for your support in raising critical funds that allow us to carry out our mission of empowering people and communities affected by HIV within our community in Montana," Cruz said. "We are encouraging everyone who is also passionate about this cause to host fundraisers on their Facebook pages, or directly donate via our donation page at http://www.aidsoutreachmt.org/.../aids-outreach-sponsorship/"
