BILLINGS, Mont. – The family of four from Caldwell, Idaho that was reported missing on Friday died in a crash on eastbound Interstate 94, about six miles east of I-90.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the 2017 Toyota 4Runner went into the median, traveled between the eastbound and westbound bridge decks, hit a concrete support pillar, and landed in a creek.

Troopers say the crash happened on Thursday at 7 a.m. and the call came in at 8 p.m. on Friday. The MHP says a 25-year old man, a 25-year old woman, a 5-year old girl and a 1-year old girl were killed.

A family member confirmed the news in a Facebook post:

Updated 11-24-2018 at 9:50 am MST… It has been confirmed that all 4 are deceased.

Search and Rescue have found the car. The kids were in an accident about 6 miles out of Billings. Chelsi Kay Dean and Anthony Dean have been confirmed deceased. They have not been able to reach the little ones, but do not have high hopes that they survived either. Thank you to everyone who shared my endless posts throughout the day. And thanks to those who went out looking for them.

According to TV station KIVI in Idaho, Anthony and his wife both grew up in Caldwell. He was serving in the Air Force and is stationed at Grand Forks, North Dakota, his mother said.

We will update you if we get more details.
