MISSOULA – A Missoula family is in mourning after the loss of their 6-year-old daughter.

Allison Eaglespeaker was a kindergartner at Russell Elementary School after originally enrolling at Chief Charlo Elementary School in Missoula.

Her mother, Crystal Whiteshield tells MTN News that her daughter “passed from complications from the flu, pneumonia, and asthma.”

Crystal would like for people to know that her daughter was beautiful, happy and so full of life. She added, “we are so devastated that the flu took our baby away from us.”

A Go Fund Me Page states Allison passed away on Saturday at Community Medical Hospital in Missoula.

Money is being raised to cover medical expenses, transportation for Allison from Missoula to Browning and final resting place in Star School, Montana as well as expenses to cover any funeral and memorial services.

There will be a memorial service for Allison on Monday at the Open Door Baptist Church in Missoula at 7 p.m. Her mother, Crystal, says flowers can be sent to the church until 6 p.m. Monday night.

There will be a dinner to follow provided by Taco SanoMCPS Indian Ed Dept, and Missoula Urban Indian Center.

Crystal says if people would like to bring more food, they are more than welcome to bring their dishes to the church’s dining hall beginning at 6 p.m.

This service is open to anyone who would like to attend. Wake and Funeral arrangements in Starr School, MT should be finalized before Monday services.

We will continue to follow this story throughout the week.
