HELENA – Montana Millionaire, the popular year-end game from the Montana Lottery, has sold out.
Lottery officials say the last ticket was sold on around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. That date, December 5, is the earliest date tickets have sold out in the game’s 12-year history.
Lottery spokeswoman Jennifer McKee says ticket sales have been at least 30% ahead of previous years all season.
One of the reasons the game is so popular is because it guarantees a winning ticket will be drawn, even if the game does not sell out.
The next early bird drawing for a $15,000 prize is scheduled for Dec. 14. The grand prize drawing of $1 million will be held before the end of the year.
