BILLINGS – Registration is now open for the 2019 Montana Women’s Run.

The 38th annual run will take place Saturday, May 11.

The courses through downtown Billings offers two options, a 2-mile route or 5 miles. The 5-mile race starts first at 8 a.m., then the 2 mile begins at 9 a.m.

It’s open to runners, walkers, wheelchairs, and strollers.

Participants can register at WomensRun.org.

Registration fees are $27 for either course through May 7, then the price increases.

Proceeds go to local organizations. In 2018, the Montana Women’s Run donated $100,000 to women’s health and fitness programs in the Billings community. Over the years, donations totaled more than $1,257,000.

Event organizers estimate more than 9,000 women will participate this year.

Getting started clinics will begin on March 18 and are held every Monday evening at 5:30.

The clinics are free and take place at the Rocky Mountain College Outdoor track and the Lockwood School track. They offer instructor-led exercise and stretching techniques.
