Judge rescued in Great Falls after searching for his dog reunited with “Duchess”

GREAT FALLS – The dog belonging to a state judge in Great Falls has been found.

Judge John Parker had been looking for the dog the afternoon of March 2, in the bitter cold when he was reported missing.

Searchers, fearing he wasn’t dressed for the subzero elements, launched a four-hour search before finding him about a mile from his home. He was taken to the hospital, and the dog was not found.

In a Facebook post, Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter said Friday the dog, Duchess, was found by a neighbor and thanked searchers for their help.
