CROW RESERVATION – Crow Tribe chairman Alvin Not Afraid Jr. declared a state of emergency for the entire Crow Tribe.
Warming weather, spring runoff, and flooding conditions contributed to the decision to declare a state of emergency.
In a release issued Sunday, Not Afraid said the flooding conditions constitute a threat to the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the Crow Reservation.
He added that all provisions of the Crow Tribal Emergency Operations Plan were implemented Friday.
