Helena police search for 16-year-old girl reported missing

HELENA – The Helena Police Department (HPD) notified the public on Facebook Sunday morning of its search for a 16-year-old girl reported as missing.

“Elizabeth Oppel ran from home sometime after midnight Friday night/Saturday morning,” the post reads.

Oppel is further described as approximately 120 lbs. with “hazel eyes” and “brown hair.”

She is 5 feet, 5 inches tall.

HPD noted that nothing about Oppel’s disappearance appears suspicious at this time.

Individuals with information regarding Oppel’s whereabouts are encouraged to call HPD at (406) 442-3233 or dial 911.
